ProTek 100T High Torque servo
I looked all over the forum but couldn't find a post about this. Has anybody used this in their buggy/truggy? I'm in need of some decent servos and liked the specs on these. Just need to know if they are any good
Thanks,
Chad

Definately a good servo!

Do you think it would be better as a throttle or steering servo?

Its 15.6 kg so would be ok for steering but more torque would be a little better, for throttle though it would do the job alright.
Have a look at the Savox sc-1256tg for steering (20kg & .15sec @ 6.0v) & the sc-1258tg for throttle (12kg & .08sec @ 6.0v), they work well & have titanium gears so are pretty strong. I run mine on a LiFe 6.6v receiver pack & they work well.

I would love to run savox, but money is a big issue here. For a beginner racer, will the protek servos do the job? Just until I can afford to run savox?

One word of advice...don't buy servos based on price. If you buy cheap servos...any brand....you will be right back to square one fast and out the money for cheap servos. 300+oz on steering and 200+ on throttle with some high speed action. They last longer and usually there are nice warranties to go with it....imo
