are you using the old chassis? the new chassis helps the bearings last a lot longer.

Hi,

Just a heads up regarding our new IFMAR Legal tanks:

Tekno RC IFMAR Legal Tank for NB/NT Now Available

New nitro fuel tanks are now available for your Tekno RC NB48.3 and NT48.3 vehicles. The new tanks include a mechanism for securing and sealing the fuel line entry, making them IFMAR legal, as well as reengineered supports for the tank lid. Our team has thoroughly tested the new fuel tanks and they are now stronger and more consistent while remaining compatible with the original NB48 and NT48 vehicles. If you are attending a race under the IFMAR rules, we got you covered!

IFMAR Legal Fuel tank features:
  • Now IFMAR/EFRA legal without any modification
  • Fuel nipple added to prevent the fuel line / clunk assembly from moving in/out of the tank
  • Added material around mounting tabs for increased durability
  • Unmatched seal design that extends further into tank, maximizing pressure and reducing the possibility of dirt getting in
  • Rubber mounting grommets increase durability while minimizing vibration
  • Internal baffle prevent the clunk from becoming stuck
  • Super high spring tension ensures the seal is tight at all times
  • 125/150cc size (NB/NT)

Tanks

Can our old tanks be exchanged for the new ones...I'm assuming they would qualify for the 50% discount? What about brand new older tanks still sealed in original packaging?

Hi,

Tanks, like all parts, qualify for the 50% discount. Please check all details about our general warranty here. Let us know if you need any help. :D

I rub on really fine dirt and go through clutch bearings very fast. Ever since switching to TKO, no issues.

Air Filter

Anybody tried Losi air filters? I thought I saw something about it on an earlier post. Anyway, if so, can you post pictures of how you supported the other end of the filter?

Thanks.

I've used the Losi pins with no problems.

Which Losi pins did you use? I just tried LOSA9106 and they don't work. Think they are american instead of metric thread.

I would love to see some of that clutch stuff broken up into separate parts as well as some of the brake linkage.

I can say this. I ran Mugen for half the season and it was ok. Felt like I couldn't really push the truck like I wanted. Tried HB Tessman edition and wasn't a fan. Bought a Tekno Nt48.3, first time out with it I Tq'ed and fell in love! So my opinion go with the Tekno, you won't regret it!

I have owned/driven every vehicle known to man kind, LOL. Nothing, imo, touches the NT48.3. It is extremely durable, parts do not slop out, performance is incredible and customer service is top notch.

You use the stock Tekno air filter elbow. Then you use the Losi air filter plastic and foam. It's very strong. It doesn't need a support.
