Do you plan to make an option for the quick change motor mounts?
or do we contact the after market company's for this?

An aftermarket quick change mount would be basically pointless on this truck, maybe if you were swapping engine brands w/different clutch set ups frequently...

Why would it be point less? I take my motor out to clean and replace clutch bell bearings every few races. I race!!!
I contacted M2C. He is making a quick change motor mounts for the nitro
buggy and truggy. I also mentioned rear chassis brace for the truggys.
I sent them pics. They are going to make a chassis brace and mount for it.

I race also, but don't see the need for a quick change motor mount. I leave the engine mount on the chassis and just remove the screws that bolt down the engine. How hard is that.

It's not hard. They must make quick change motor mounts for a reason!!!

I had a quick change mount on my old Mugen. Thought it would be quicker to remove but it took the same amount of time to remove. But it is your money. Spend it the way you want.

It would be next to pointless, because, quick change mounts were invented to replace mounts where you couldn't get to the engine bolts easily, or quick. It's not exactly 'quick change' if you have to undo four bolts - identical to the stock setup, is it?

I support the after market, and would like to see and buy an aftermarket (longer) rear chassis brace for the buggy way before an after market mount.

Actually the Three piece mounts position those 4 bolts in a much easier to
access location than trying to get by the cooling head and exhaust spring.
Are they needed, No, all you really need is a 120mm 2.5 ball end driver.

Depending on what engine you run the larger one piece base also keeps cases
from cracking.

Personally I want one because its what I am used to and because I may have
mitch make it with 3mm forward offset.

Please guys lets not let our thread go the way of so many others with bickering.

Big fan of the Bulldog body. Browsing the ET48 forum and saw that a member mounted a RC8T body on his truggy. So I bought one and mounted on mine. Easy install just need the RC8T body mounts. No drilling. Rear needed trimming to prevent it from rubbing the shock springs when compress. Body is a lot wider than the stock. Also taller.

Simple but very effective thanks for sharing.

Looks good though.

Can you take a picture of the underside to show how much wider it is compared to chassis

Looks great, the bulldogs where always my favorite of the cab forward bodies.

Did you get that Acendancy clutch mounted up?

Can a nitro engine with a Losi clutch setup installed fit directly on the Tekno nt48? I have a spare engine with a new Losi clutch and it look a lot like the Tekno.

Should bolt right in. Tekno uses the same recessed flywheel/long bell setup
that Losi uses.

Here you go. Going to try it out in a few days. See how it handles compared to stock. Also to check how much dirt gets in the inside.

Got it mounted. Needed 5 shims behind the collet for the clutch bell to line up with the spur gear.
