Nice crisp pics, have you got a website where they are all uploaded to?

That looks like a nice 'n fast hardpack surface

What kind of brown pavement cracks like that?

Are they saving the dirt for the mains or something?

I bet it gets slimy if you add water.

Ahh! So a little water will make that brown carpet stuff turn back into offroad dirt. That's cool. I'm a little new to the track building thing. Only a few months into it.

I allmost wonder why they haven't tried cutting tread into a foam tire for some of these pro events.

But on the plus side, If you drop your pizza cheese side down on the track while marshalling, it won't get dirty!

This is how the track always is. We usually water it at the beginning of the week and then let it dry out. It usually does not have the large cracks you see, But we got hit with a cold front right before the warm up and it sucked all the moisture out of the track.

Not all tracks have to be loose sandy blown out messes. They are all different and the guys in Porter have a very nice facility and track. I think of it like a very large indoor clay track. I heard the layout was really good.
