Default receiver pack help

I am running a savox 1268:steering and 1258 throttle. I was told i could not run lipo receiver pack bc of the savox 1258. Is this true? Do i nees to run nimh or is lipo ok??

I run 1257 and 1268 on an unregulated lipo. No problems so far..

If you want to be safe, because a 1258 is NOT a high voltage servo, get a regulator or a life battery would work without a regulator as they are 6.6 volts with a 7.2 max where as a lipo has a 8.4 max voltage.

I have heard of guys running the 50 series of savox servos with lipos, but I wouldn't.
