Default How big should your engine mounts be for a starter box engine

I have a d8 and just got new engine bulgur I think my engine mount is way too high what is the right height for engines that use starter boxes

What did you use before? Pull start? Is the fly wheel the stock one or aftermarket?

If it was a pull start, the mounts may be too high and you may need to get new ones.

If its an A/M flywheel, it may be too small.

Also, if the wheel on the box is worn down, that could be your problem.

Does it not reach, or does it bottom out on the chassis? if it soesnt reach, dicconect the battery and make sure you are pushing all the way down on the box. If it just touching and not starting, it may be miss aligned.

It's a stock flywheel and engine mount I have a 4mm chassis and 7mm engine mount the lowest engine mount I found was 6mm will that help

Is this buggy a HB D8S ?

I see now. You're the same guy I replied to a little bit ago on your other thread.
If this is a D8s and you've never changed the engine mount, you need too. If you have replace the engine mount with the regular HB mount you either have a small flywheel or a jacked up starter box.

I just ordered the hb one piece engine mount yesterday and my starter box is good when It rubs the chassis it is very far up and is very powerful

All Hot Bodies D8 and D8T are two-piece mounts.
