Look into the Xray Xb8 turnbuckles and rod ends. I have a hunch they'll fit. Usually Xray rods and ends last the life of the car for me. I'd even bet that the Xray upper arms might fit (check hinge pin diameter 1st).

Making a car with Mugen/Xray parts compatibility, if it's true, is a pretty sweet option to have.

I could be wrong, but I suspect that any updates will be minor things. The car already gets/has been getting kickass results as-is.

That being said, what type of body is Rivkin running here?

Harder composites; front arms have molded stiffener @ inner hingepin.

Looks like new/revised springs. (Dia/rate/frequency)

+1mm hubs

Interesting to note use of front unis & rear cva's

Will be neat to watch the setup progression as the track roughens.

Just got off the phone with Associated's customer service in regards to V1 vs. V2 diffs. They say the V1 are fine and v2 is just a tuning option. What is the difference in how the car handles with the two different diffs?

Is the RC8 B3 competitive at a club level out of the box or is there likely to be an RC8B4 coming this spring. Im close to dropping in on the RC8B3 but dont want an obsolete Buggy before next racing season.

The RC8B3 out of the box with the full DNC setup is very competitive. With box setup not so much.

There are a heap of new parts out for this buggy so hopefully they will bring out a team or worlds kit wit these included but doubt there will be a B4 anytime soon.

Need a little bit of help. I have the +2mm steering blocks on the car. I noticed when the car is on the box at full droop (standard droop settings as per DNC setup) when at 100% full lock the steering binds where the servo cant pull it back straight. If you put it down on a bench at ride height the problem isnt there, or if up on the box and its locked, you compress the suspension and it straightens.

The only thing i can see is at full droop and full lock the angle of the steering link is quite severe. Any one else had this issue? I had to dial out 5-10% lock out of the steering to stop it happening.

Has anyone noticed that the DNC setup calls for 2.7mm gray rear sway bar, but the color coding for the 2.7mm is actually blue? Gray is 2.6mm. So are you supposed to run gray 2.6 or blue 2.7?

I personally like the grey better. Smooths out the car and go through the rough better.

B3 is being run at the worlds so I dont foresee a whole new platform coming.

Likely just some tuning options/minor revisions.

As to the v1/v2 diffs...

V1 uses a larger oring on the outdrives. Internal gear cone/pitch is a little shallow so they work well on lower traction surfaces. They'll diff out a little quicker so generally run a touch heavier fluids.

V2 thrust more fluid through the gearset. Can run underdrive gearset as an option. Can use lighter/more common fluid c.s.t. ratings.
