You probably have a better chance of spotting Sasquatch than you do of spotting a new AE anytime this year. They are still running parts from other companies and experimenting. This is a long way from production of a new car in the development cycle. That usually means they are at least a year away. Of course maybe they will release a new car that is already outdated by maifield's current car.

I doubt you have ever raced what they run. LOL!

• Carbon shock towers with updated upper camber link on front
• New top plate (because of above mod)
• VCBs
• rear 3 hole hubs
• finnisher wing
• GHEA style Gearbox Input Cups
voila...RC8.3

This would be BA!!!

Yeah.. I can just see it - bunch of hoopla about the 8.3, with just that list of whatever mods.. Then the Ryans start running other mods, people chase that wild goose for a few months, then the RC8.4 thread pops up...
Absurd.
Can't we just skip to the RC8.782, so I can have some breathing space and be spared having to worry about what mods I "need" to keep up with the lemmings?...

I've gone thru pretty much all of the major brands at some point and everyone has their own opinion on what they'd like to see... truth be told, the AE line of 8th scale has been pretty steady, and each has made drastic improvements from the previous... I think we all agree on the screws being a little soft but you really cant say it has ever been inconsistant. I love the comment about stop trying to follow what the pros do if you arent a pro driver! I couldnt have said it better myself, and dont forget most of the big name pro drivers in the hobby arent just drivers, they are also working in R&D. what i'd like to see in the new kit, a better chassis with less flex, more setup options on the shock towers, better shock springs (most of us run the kyosho springs) and definately better motor mounts. the light weight equipment and wider shock towers definately made the 8.2 better than the rc8B but theres still room to improve. im hoping they are planning to make a receiver box that actually matches the chassis shape, its kind of crazy to have a box that hangs off of the chassis! i know this one is a little off subject, but i know they expected the truggy to fade out but if you havent noticed it really hastn, so please, please please make army, shock upgrades for the RC8T lol

What I'd like to see standard on a RC8.3
RC8 steering rake
vert. hubs
3 hole plastic rear hubs
camber link/rod style front shock tower
ASC89568 smooth gearing
updated quick change engine mount with optional "set back"
Ghea style adjustable roll center C and D hingepin plates
updated springs (kyosho light blue copies)
1.3x8 shock pistons
updated shock bladders like kyosho, losi 3.0, or CSI
updated shock caps with the standoff eyelet centered on cap.
more shock positions on shock towers
Avid carbon fiber style rear reinforced chassis brace
Clunk tank
Gold Hard Anodize chassis from the RC8.2e

I've never actually owned an RC8, but I've been keeping an eye on them since the first version was released. If anything, I'm very impressed with how much they've improved the platform since the sub-standard 2007 model. The overall car actually looks pretty good and consistent, even if they sometimes employ a few K-car bits.
I can't help but wonder if they wouldn't be better off waiting until spring to release a new car that much closer to the Worlds. AE are long overdue for a world championship and I really hope they can pull it off in 2014. If they can design a reliable tank with a clunk, that would be pretty awesome too
