Is anyone using the aluminum tank posts? The plastic ones seem to have a lot of give.

the way I see it the rubber grommets should give it enough flex to not crack the tank. My tank with the plastic post seem to flex so much that it would hit other components and then crack. just wondering if anybody had issues with there plastic tank posts.

I have been itching to upgrade some parts. At the end of the day the car doesn't need it. The only thing I upgraded was the easy change mount and metal servo horns.
The car just works and I have had some bad crashes and nothing has broke. The talk about wear and durability. Blaaaaaa. Hasn't happend.

Question i just pulled my savox servos from another car and putting them in my new 3.0 screws with kit are no way long enough. I have the rubber grommets and inserts that savox supplied in them. Do i need to remove them?

Hi Guys, great thread! I'm a new old racer here getting back into the "sport". I use to race a Mugen MBX4 back in the day and I loved that tank!
I just ordered a 3.0 and I'm looking to get some ideas for a baseline setup. I was going to put a picture of the track but the forum denied it saying I don't have enough post.
Anyway the track is HUGE, blown out and dusty. It has a huge double that I'm sure the AMA would want you to have a flying license if they knew about it.
I read the whole thread and it sounds like the track that Quad Racer has a setup sheet for just a page or so back. On his setup he has for diff oils as 7/3/2. The local guy here recommended 7/5/1.
I think the 1000 in the rear just may be too thin. I think this setup would really limit the amount of on power steering, which I admit might be ok for a fast track with low grip/medium and a new driver.
Especially when I saw how these drivers attack this track. It's like they zip-tie the throttle open and just go for it. Interesting bunch.
BTW the track is in Dajia Taiwan. Stop by if you're in town.
I know the TLR factory is somewhere on this island. I'm trying to see if I can get a tour.

Doesn't look like there is enough change to justify buying a new car. The new shocks look like they will bolt right on the 2.0. And all the drive systems look like they will carry over too. The gen III tray we know will, and that's bout it. The chassis looks EXACTLY like the 2.0.
