Ofna/Hobao Hyper9 vs Hyper Star
Hi guys,
Need some advices here to decide my 2nd buggy. I've a hyper9e at the moment and love it, and wanna get a nitro one also. And since i have a few parts on hand, would like to get another hyper(9 or star) for easier parts sharing. But from the looks of the two it seems there's not much of a difference except i can see the front steering part(sorry i'm new to rc cars so don't know much). Can someone who knows both buggies give me some advices between the 2? Is the hyper star really a better one? Pros and cons please. And also, what are the parts that are not interchangeable between the 2. Thanks a lot for any help i can get. |
the latest is the better I guess.. I assembled a V1 UK version
differences: new front with ballend carriers and carbon levers nice cnc chassis with the option + 4mm wheelbase rear brake layout optimised front brace mounted on the chassisplate new cnc rear toeplate with inserts option wing/mount reinforced upperarm holder optimised radiobox lay out same tank +: better handling and brakes better radiobox layout, receiverbox can be opened under the links the transmission, universals good shocks, pistons need larger holes nice chassis -: the towers bent easily some play at the front arms, and of the pinions in the bearings still the same rear arms that don't really harmonise with the rest same weight in the end .. or more random rollbar system inserts in new toeplate needed to be cut to shape to go in |
speedy, thanks a ton for every help, so i think a hyper star is the way to go.
