Yea pretty much going for a low budget Rtr truggy or buggy. My wifes prego and where saving for a house and baby so I can't be bringing a $600 + rc car home. I know some are gonna bash me for wasting money on cheap Rtr but that's all I can get away with.

your not going to get "fast, wheelies etc" for next to nothing money wise.
my advice is save it and buy something decent.
the losi mini eight on 3 cell lipo is going to fall into your range though, you will require a decent charger and a better servo.

i have a mini eight with 3s and its super mental, fresh charge on a 3s lipo on carpet it will standing backflip.
with my phone on it, it hit 48mph, so take weight of phone off and 50mph.
some have reports of breaking the shock ends... but ive never broken one... guess they dont understand when u hit something hard everthing breaks...
only upgrades are servo and proline shock caps (mainly for front)

well, speed and money invested has a direct relationship. Unless you can land a mad deal, you get what you paid for.
other than that, get a used slash 2wd and put a mamba max w/ a 9000kv motor
