Default Are truggy shocks universal?

My old Hb Lightning 2 truggy had a big stack and bent a shock shaft. It's probably repairable but seen they are the older generation skinny shocks I thought it would be the excuse needed to upgrade them to big bore shocks. Just wondering if I need a certain type or are they fairly universal?

You should be able to adapt a brand to your Truggy the only thing you may need is the shock stand off to go with the Shocks, Lots of guys run different brand shocks on the chassis....

What metal-bodied threaded shocks would you guys reccomend for an mbx5t? Came with plastic shocks and am looking to upgrade.

MBX5T should have metal shocks originally. But if they've been changed, get a set of MBX6/6T shocks.

They feel super smooth and the dampening is just right, but i'd like to have something a little nicer in the long run. Any other options or are the 6t shocks the best?

Thats strange, I thought your 5T was almost new the dude who sold you that truck as a 6T doesn't sound like someone to buy stuff from.

6T shocks are awesome, could be expensive if your paying fill retail price.
I built a pair of Agama shocks for a guy who was putting them on a losi truggy, they were good quality and cheaper i'd say, buy the springs that are being used on the new agama truggy if you choose them.

Turns out he scammed my friend who traded his buggy for my truck. Dude shipped the motor and complete truck without servos or a starter box. Not my problem as my friend was the one who set up the deal. He now is just going to give me his starter box and some servos since i got scammed out of them. The truck was brand new (until i raced it last week). Not complaining as the plastic shocks feel quite good and they don't seem that cheap of quality. Looking to get some really good metal bodied threaded shocks for around $75 for the whole set.

There's a bunch of kit breakers on ebay you can get 6T shocks from, within your budget.. Just search for MBX6T shocks.
