Default Whats a good body/wing for my RC8?

I just stepped up to the nitro world a couple weeks ago. I got an RC8 and have been practicing with it. I'm heading to my first race with it next weekend, but I can't roll in with the "RTR" body. What are some good bodies and wings for this buggy?

Type in "RC8 body" on ebay.com and see.. I didn't like the cab-forward bodies at first, but now I do. The Jconcepts Punisher for ex., Proline Bulldog, etc.. Pretty sure the RC8 and RC8B were the same as far as which bodies fit. The RC8.2 is 3mm longer I think, so the holes might be slightly off...

For a wing, why not just get the Jconcepts wing from the RC8.2? If not, any 8th scale buggy wing should fit. The original RC8 wings were fine..

I use ProLine body and wing

Any of them from ProLine or JConcepts will be fine. Take what your LHS has in stock!

I was out getting a feel for the new buggy in the backyard and after running for about 15 minutes I brought it in. Temped it at 225degrees. When I took the rtr body off to clean it all up I noticed that the body was melting in the area around the head pipe. I would think that Associated would have trimmed that out enough, or mold the body around it a little better, but I guess not. O well, just one more reason to get a new body.

+2 fit awesome and seem to hold up better than other more expensive bodys.

The Jconcepts one piece wings are real strong, cant go wrong with those two.
