OMFG page 2 and Im the first one to mention City Blocks. Soft City Blocks changed the game for me and tires. After trying them by the end of the 2nd race I was ready to sell all my old tires (and I did). During that season I ran every main event running City Blocks. I could almost say I used them for every race period but I know I used a set of soft Grid Irons for a least a couple qualifiers. Now its probably 3 years later and I still run soft City Blocks first at every track I go to. Grid Irons and Impacts have since worked their way into my tire collection but the City Blocks are still #1 IMO

I'd say Sweeps silver square armors. I don't think there is a track they can't work on. Very predictable, good side bite, and really good tread life.

Oddly enough though I did go to a track where I was wishing I had some Panther Komodo 2s recently. Up until City Blocks it was a toss up between Crimefighters and Komodo 2s.

Hotbodies red megabites are my go to tire. Around here most outdoor tracks are hard packed clay which eat up SS and soft medium sized pin tires (we call those one run tires)

If I could only run one tire everywhere, it would be M3 Blockade. Big pins for long life, easy to drive, doesn't catch ruts, and work at every track I go to.

I feel the City Blocks are the single most vesatile tire on the market..

BUt There is no best, track conditions are too varied from track to track, but I typically end up running Grid Irons or City Blocks..

My fav atm is soft Ibeam at our track, but I used to like the Bowtie too.

Try some Green Losi Ultra Digits, they last forever. Kind of a grid iron feel but on an outdoor track that would normally mow grid irons, these are pretty good. Good practice tire also.
