Default Mugen starter box motors

Can someone recommend a pair of replacement motors for the Mugen starter box?
Mine are getting tired and I'd like to replace them with something with a little more torque.

You can grab any of the 550 motors and they should work, and give you more torque than the 540's would...

Any good 775 motors that fit the box and can be recommended?

I also use the Traxxas motors, you can buy them cheap on ebay by the two.

775 motors are probably too big... I doubt they would mount up correctly without hacking it with a Dremel. Two 550 motors should be plenty...

If it contains simple 540 motors you should get 2 rebuildable 23 turns motors which are used in electric stock racing. I have placed 2 Team Orion Havoc 23t motors in my starterbox 5 years ago and replaced the brushes just once.

The advance is also more power and rpm.

I used a Traxxas 550 12T motor from my Slash 2 years ago to replace one of the original motors and still works great.

For those of you that are interested.
I ended up replacing my Mugen starter box motors with two 21T 550 Traxxas Titan motors, and wow what a difference. If your starter box is getting tired like mine was, don't replace it, just replace the motors and the wheel and you'll be really happy.

Has anyone tried two 775 motors or 2 dewalt 820 motors?
