Tony's Screws or RcScrewz Stainless
 

Looking to rebuild my Hara and need a screw kit, it is between these 2. Any input would be great

Tony's by far, better quality and won't strip easily like rcscrewz.....

stainless are pretty weak compared to Tony's 12.9 grade alloy

If money isn't a issue, I'd go lunsford screws. My tki2 has luns tit screws throughout and have been awesome. They will last a very very looonnng time. Also, no matter what set of screws you get, I highly suggest you investing in MIP/Thorp hex drivers. Best I've had so far. Just my 2cents

I like steel screws. I never bought Tony's, but I go to A Main and order all the srews from their protech brand. You get like 10 screws fro 2 dollars or whatever. I just load up with all the sizes I use the most and bam. It ends up being cheaper than 45 dollars for a screw kit and you have 20 of each not only a few.

TONYS over any other on the market. You get more for the money with Tonys Screws..

If Trick-Parts makes a kit I would go with them. I have them in my scte and caster buggy and haven't had a stripped out screw yet.

Stainless screws tend to strip out much easier. I'd avoid the RCScrewz set -- they look cool, but WILL strip out. I had a bad experience years ago when I first got started back in RC.

10.9 or 12.9 steel is the way to go. Tony's offers a nice pre-packaged set.

Titanium is nice, but mainly on the top plate where there is lower stress. I wouldn't use them on the high stress areas, especially engine screws and lower chassis screws. Have seen them bend/break on many occasions.

I agree with larlev, go with trick-parts.com, they have great quality stuff

Tony's NO question's asked, He's got Kits for 98% of the cars out there and his hardware is the BEST in the Bizz. :nod:

also the trickparts.com screws are cheap stainless, no better than RC Screwz IMO just sayin

Stay away from rcscrewz. I bought a set for my vorza. Lots of screws missing and some useless, totally different from manual specs.

hey i know for any build i do i go to the interent and get the spec sheets if its not a 100 percent custom built rc and even then i still go to fastenal for all my screws, i opened an account in the name of my dads building company and i get great rates...e clips, screws, washers, nuts lock nuts you name it and you can get it there i have even bought conduit tubing for using to build a bumper...fastenal is my recommedation super cheap and very easy to do business with and have your whole order for pick up in 2 days :)

Thanks for the tip. I will do a complete set quote in some screw stores in my country when i had the patience but i may need these sites, usually they only have common stuff.

places like fastenal and grainger will surprise bc if they dont have it they will suggest smthg thats equivalent or better at a fraction of the cost
