Well my wife will come from time to time to the track in her own car that way when i ignore her(not o purpose just busy with cars and such) she can leave instead of get pissed and bitch about it.
My wife knows how much i like it and sees how much my son 9yrs old likes it so think she will start attending more since all my son talks about is running his nitro buggy at the next race so it works out.
As for money side have a trade out for her. For example iget new r/c car she gets new tattoo that way there is no money complaints

How many of you guys get the cold sholder and stink eye when you leave at 7am and get home at 7pm from a days racing, even when you gave them over a months notice, spent all week doing chores around the house.

Asked her so many times to come along, nah doesnt want to know about it, cant wait till my little fella is old enough, have a buggy sitting waiting for him.
Same here. I always get the "I don't understand why you are gone all day long."

And I made the mistake of cleaning my tires in the sink. Oops!! By the time I was done I had a sink full of dirt that was plugged up and a garbage disposal that didn't work. That will teach me to wash my tires in the sink.

That's the way, I get car/s and parts and the other half gets herself handbags, no guilt :P

If it's going to be a BIG purchase, I'll buy her something too. She doesn't want to get involved though, even though I'd like her to be. If she comes around eventually that would be great, but sometimes it's nice just being at the track enjoying the day outside.

Have a 14yr old son that you have to haul across Texas every other weekend haha. She and my 10yr old daughter travel with us most of the time. They ussually find the best places to go shop and then make it in time to watch a third qualifier and the mains depending on the time. They are both troopers, Pickle311 can attest to that haha. Oh and she is also the Team Manager haha, that can be good or bad depending on who does the sweet talking when we need something big haha.

Well...trying to get my Wife involved led to a divorce...seriously. At first things were okay she was cool about it but she always imagined loads of single women being at the track that I would hit on...this is impossible this is not a woman's Hobby but she still felt that way.
So I talked her into coming to the track with me a few times. For some odd reason other members at the track had the same idea as me and did the same thing. So now here I am talking to other men's wives not hitting on them (does just being nice and saying they have a nice pair of...shoes count?)
Anyway after that she insisted that I quit the Hobby all together. This is when I insisted she quit her hobby which was hanging with her girlfriends shopping.

This is no joke but after only 2 years of marriage she said that I would have to choose between our marriage or my Hobby. I spent about 10 minutes on the phone with one of my race buddies talking about this and he said the same thing happened to him and he chose the Hobby and has been happy as ever since then. I chose this Hobby over her and we got divorced earlier this year.
I am definately so much happier only having to take care of myself and I am free to do whatever I want with no one bitching at me.
I do get lonely at nights so I tend to stay up late watching movies.
I decided to stay single...women are too controlling .

Can't wait to get my new Kyosho Truggy with the Clocked Bonito .21 running at the track later next week. That is the one thing almost better than sex. Maybe it is better I don't know hard to compare those two.

Try asking your wife to enjoy your hobby with you .... worked a treat for me, my wife is my pit crew, compresor cleans the buggy & truggy after each heat while I marshal or she will go and marshal while i clean the car ready for the next heat, we have the best time on race days ( kids free ) been lucky enough to even win a national championship with her handy pit work and re fueling,

Well my girl comes to the track every so often and she brings her nook along to get some reading time in. She has been a real trooper and even cornered once when I got the bump. Sometimes she even has done some car cleaning at the races but has very little interest in pitting for me. I always let her know that I am going to go race and tell her that she is always welcome to come with me. Most of the time she doesn't want to and that is ok but it is her choice.
I do wish that she would do some racing but she would rather shoot guns, read and answer all the questions on Jeopardy and yes she is good
