Suspension analysis

I don't know if many of you have seen any slow-motion videos, but its very intriguing to watch the suspension in work...but would make it even better is knowing what the set up was as far fluid weights, rebound, piston...etc, etc.

The reason I ask is i'm studying the real effects of different combinations of suspension set-ups and what each looks like when it's in motion. And the only way i can notice it is in slow-motion. I know there is a product in italy in development that has a both compression and rebound needles.
Example of type of video:

Just trying to see if:
A) Anyone has any slow-motion rc videos, other than the ones posted by gooodman.

B) Anyone knows what happened to the italian company that was prototyping needle adjustable compression and rebound.

Footage from a 6hr endurance race in 2010. Hope this helps?

I know there is a little piece of software called SUSPROG for designing and analysing suspensions.

Definitely helps! Thank you!

I'm having a hard time finding that italian company...

I remember it was $100+ USD for a full set. :weird:
The difference in this shock than others was that it offered the user to control compression with not only oil, and piston,
but a needle located on the cap like that of both motorcycle and car racing shocks.

This is an awsome thread. You read about chassis flex etc but actually being able to whatch the suspension and chassis working is wicked.

the shocks you refer to were virus 09 http://www.expertmodel.com/eng.html

I know right!!! Quite a sight to see! It's one thing to see a set-up work so well, but to see a slow-motion set-up in action is something way different.

YES!! Those are the shocks!!

Have a look at C2 pistons. These are shim and washer type so that they are piston-speed sensitive on compression. You can adjust them by changing the shim/washer setup just like on a full size shock. There's a thread in this forum on them.

It's a very nice system! I'll have to search around for pictures of internals or cut-away's of both this system and the EM virus 09 shocks.

Does anyone else have or know of slow motion videos?
