Things you hear from your Pitman
 

Ok so this started on another thread so this all in fun about what you hear from you pitman while you're racing it's always funny to hear some of the things that go on from down below. They yell at you to come in for fuel, WHAT ARE YOU DOING COMMENTS and a whole lot more, so chime in with your own fun comments so we can laugh it up.

One I heard was "STRAIGHT-AWAY STRAIGHT-AWAY" on the front straight with a 5ive T right in the middle as other 5ive t's were charging, you can only imagine the air fyling carnage that followed.

" Oops"

This, when after getting about 1/2 lap in from pitstop, my trug just stopped dead. Motor running, just wouldn't budge. Marshall couldn't figure it out, so I called it, had pit guy bring it in. Pulled the body off and found the fuel cap stuck in the center diff.:rolleyes:

That's a first I have never heard that one before and I get alot of weird calls here at OFNA.

Ok these are in no particular order, "calm down" , " be smooth" , " come in for fuel this lap!!!!!!!!". :lol:

Not soo much funny because of what's being said, but more my reaction to it.

I hate people talking to me while racing, let me know when I need to pit or if I have a stop&go, other then that STFU.
Here's why. Every time someone has yelled up to me to relax, take it slow, don't mess up, I crash. My most memorable is 15 seconds on the clock, half a lap to go and I'm holding the last bump spot. My pit man yells to me that it's a done deal, just keep it together for 15 more seconds. As soon as he said those words, I case a jump letting the car behind me take my spot. And my engine flamed out just as the marshal reached it. Turns out my pitman only gave me a 80% full tank on the last stop. Needles to say I was pretty pissed going of the drivers stand, I was mostly angry at myself.

what about driver to marshall or pitman? heard some messed up stuff...

"Next lap, I'm coming in for fuel!!! NEXT LAP!!!"

This at about the 8 minute mark...during an electric 1/8 buggy 10 minute main.

Yep, happened to me at Nitro Challenge, trying to hear my pitguys and I'm yelling WHAT!!! I can't hear. I got a bunch of French guys talking behind me. So yell louder. Then I flame, I guess the quote was "You were suppoesd to come in for fuel!"

Next one you now you land a jump, and you yell " I flamed out!!" e-bugguy guy.

the best one said to me is...

pitman.."dude your car is in the tree. how the heck did you end up that high in the tree?"

me.. " maybe i should have hit the brakes"

pitman..." ya think!"

this was after i tried to pass on the high line of a 5' high banked turn and was t-boned causing the car to jump the pipe and be stuck in the branches.

At home, me and my bud working on a new engine break in. He's on radio side of chassis, I'm on engine side. Flywheel gets locked up. Both of us with screw drivers in hand try to turn it over...I instruct, regarding which way to turn it...
" Down mine, up yours."
