It's a team effort.
Opportunity + Luck = Success.

He did, yes. And he deserves tons of credit for it..
The question though is, with which cars did he win?... Apparently ones which don't bear much resemblance to the ones sold in hobby shops under the same name. That's the issue..
So are the big races then more about the drivers, or more about the brands? If the former, fine.. But then you get into some pretty grey territory with marketing and advertising... And common sense, really.. I mean, it's the brands paying the drivers..

Next Time... Maybe hot bodies should do what loss did.. and not have any pictures taken of the car.. that way all this speculation and BS wouldn't be said... The Tessman's and the team in general and hot bodies have been honest with what they did to the car dating back to the worlds in 2008 when Hara won... there is no hiding what they did to the car.. unlike OTHER BRANDS... so if you can read that hot bodies won.. then you will also read with picts that the car was not stock and they have been doing some testing with different parts to make it better..
so there is no secret mission out there... let it be..

I dont think anyone is trying to take anything away from TY or Hot Bodies. Ty is one hell of a driver and is always a contender(especially at the Nitro Challenge). I just dont want to see Hot Bodies using this to try to sell their buggy. I think thats what everyone is trying to say. A $300 Hot Bodies D8 didnt win the Nitro Challenge. Ty Tessman did.......

Well-said.. x2.. (@elvind)
Advertising is a huge part of the hobby.. So OK Tessmann and all the others are great drivers, but if the brands are going to advertise "World champ" this and that, the car that actually wins those titles should be remotely similar to the ones normal people buy..
Though I appreciate the help I've gotten there, I can't even really stand the thread for the buggy I have, because all anybody talks about is what other parts from other brands or whatever you have to put on it...
I don't think anybody's being intentionally cheated. There's just a .... dissonance between development and sales. So whatever the next upgraded buggy(for whichever brand..) will be based on all the current testing, by the time it comes out it too will be outdated and they'll be testing something else.. Nobody's fault really.. Just kind of unfortunate..
