In a sense I agree with you as a 3 shoe is much easier to install for the average user. Once Doug a 4 shoe a few times it becomes pretty easy too. But I do prefer a 4 shoe as I think there is more subtle adjustments that can be made compared to a 3 shoe

So is this thing easy to use? Do you have to hold it all together while putting the nut on the crankshaft? IDK. I like the simpicity of the 3-shoe clutches. I had many years using the Losi clutch and enjoy the 3-shoes better. Just from an assembly stand point.

I think the are easy to work on compared to a 3 shoe the only thing you have to do is take the nut off to take apart you do not have to wind the springs like a 3 shoe. You just put together and twist inner part and push down on pins and put the nut on.

Just zip the flywheel nut off to change springs?

And am I the only one that has a horrible time putting a 3 shoe clutch together without a clutch tool?

air8 05-09-2012 10:08 PM

The clutch tool is nice once you get used to using it. I'll never be without.
