has anyone else noticed the tendency with the higher bodies? almost pre 2008/9. it seemed for a while that everybody tried to get the bodies as flat as possible...prolly to get more airflow around the head to the rear wing, but it seems now, well at least going from this preview pic of the xb9, and the new mbx6R that the bodies are getting higher again...maybe for better aero/handling? i think the bitty on the mbx6R is disgusting and this body in the preview pic alludes to the same geometry...ie high cab forward with a flat part where the head goes. i know proline and co have sort-off pioneered these fugly iterations, but it seems now they are actually being tested by the manufacturers and are yielding better performance than the older, sleeker bodies we "used" to get. i think a while back most bodies were just for looks? well alteast JQ has openly admitted to this, so i cant believe most other companies actually cared (until now) what effect the bodyshell had on the handling characteristics of the car....or am I being silly?

the 2011 didn't arrive in the stated until late April or May. And it was a carry-over design.

Historically they introduce at the Germany toy show and release it after that. I wouldn't expect it in the stated until late spring again at the earliest.

I like the 2011 body better as well. I'm wondering if the dimensions will be that much different on the XB9 versus the 2011 808 as I've got two uncut 2011 bodies I may try to trim to fit the XB9.

It's just the towers. Zoom in on the picture and you will see this.

Only just got the 808 2011 and have found that absolutely amazing so really lookg forward to seeing how this will go.

The multi flex setting looks interesting. It appears to a be a rear chassis brace that you can adjust depending on track conditions.

Quite like the current body (just copied Sideshow Bob's paint deisgn for it, which looks great - thanks Sideshow Bob!!). Not sure of the forward cab design. Must make a difference.
