Well i have to say i owned both until about 2 weeks ago. Mugen is a great truck but the Serpent (in my opinion here) actually has better on power steering than the Mugen and Jumps better again this is pretty much my opinion and comparing kit type set ups.
We had our nationals a couple of weeks ago and i decided to take the mugen as i had been driving it for longer, howewever after 6 broken bottom arms (last one in the A final while running a good race!) over the weekend the mugen basically got given away and i have brought another Serpent truck so i now have 2. Serpent is alot more durable. Over that weekend there were over 40 arms broken on the mugens and dont recall seeing a Serpent break. Losi also impressed!
