In short, no that car was designed to run a small block motor. The motor mounts are different. But besides fitment issues a motor of that size in a car that small would b uncontrollable to the point of not even being fun to drive. I put a .18 O.S. motor in my buddies 1/10th scale truck and it would just pull wheelies all day. It was very tricky to drive. So id say if your lookin for alota power go with the O.S. .18.

there is videos on youtube of gt's with big blocks, so it can be done. but like the other guy said, it would be ALOT of power. .28's are in mt's and truggy's that weigh 9+ pounds. the gt weighs 3 or 4 pounds. so it would be alot to handle

ive got an os 18 cvr in my GT, and it will flip over from 15-20ish if i hit it full throttle. and it dropped right in with no mods

Don't install a .28 in a GT2. The truck will be hard to handle, you'll waste time and money and you'll destroy the tranny in less than 5 minutes.

As few have say, go with a OS .18CVR with SG crankshaft and rotary carb. It is a direct fit and you'll have more power than you can handle.

I have a Novarossi .12 in mine and I rarely nail the throttle
