Default Mud + Dust repeller

I did some reading (Rctech is slooooow this last couple of weeks...) and found that most cleaning is done with Simplegreen or similar.
But is there anything that will stop dust /mud from sticking, like rainX on the windshield?

The "shelf" seems to work perfect.

I haven't heard of using Orange Pledge. Do you just spray it on and wipe off or does it evaporate?

Pledge works good at shedding large clumps of mud, but what I've found works best in truly muddy scenarios is Pam (from my biking days). Just spray it on vital areas (hubs, arms, etc) and blow off excess (but make sure you still have a layer of film)... if you nail your header/pipe, you'll start to smell like a bacon burner.

The again, 99% of the time, I've never found it actually wet enough to warrant spraying anything on my car.

When I used the Orange Pledge I had to wipe it off because it sprays on all white and foamy. It didn't work for me as well as Kal-Gard, but maybe I was using it wrong and shouldn't have wiped it off.
