Default glued tires and they didnt stick.. why?

I got some cheap tires/rims off ebay from china.. it said they were glued but they were not.

so I also bought some glue. its not the normal clear stuff.. its black. this is it: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/BSI-IC-2000-R...item3a6a2b62a7

anyways, I tried gluing 2 tires yesterday... seemed to go good. I waited an hour or so for them to dry and I went to see how well it had worked.. I pulled on the tire and the glue cracked right off like it was nothing, it was very brittle. it stuck to the tire very well, but not to the rim at all. why?

try washing the rim with dish soap, some manufacturing processes require a lubricant to be sprayed on the mold in order for the plastic to separate cleanly. you can rough up the edge that contacts the tire bead with sand paper for better results also.

You need to rub the tires (and rim) beads down with some rubbing alcohol real good to get off all of the molding agents left over from manufacturing. Use some paper towel to do it. You'll be amazed how much of the stuff comes off.

AKA tire glue has always worked really well for me.

Get some real CA glue. The stuff you are using is not bonding to plastic. If that stuff was any good we would all be using it
