check the classifieds on here, plenty of good rigs for sale, and check your local craigslist too.

Kyosho use to make a rtr us sport version of the str truggy but beware. If you need to change tires you need to buy new hubs and parts are pricy on it. I would say find a good used losi 2.0 or even 1.0 and go from there.

On a similar note, out of the race truggys, is there any that stands out as a great basher? Have my buggy as my main racer, but looking for a mainly wknd basher, and occasional racer, doesnt need to be RTR, can throw some old gear onto it.

The Caster is a great value and has tons of upgrades if you decide to race.

Losi is about the best deal out there right now. I love my serpent but it's more of a race truggy IMO

For a buggy - used losi 8ight 1.0 or Hyper 7 TQ Black (new)

The hyper is like $270 new with coupon from Tower and the likes. As a basher I find it a hard deal to beat and that macstar .28 hasn't given me a problem yet
