Default Alright guys heres the deal

im getting into nitro after 5 years in electric. i am a basher plain and simple. BASHER! so i want to get a nitro truggy. something big such as 1/8.

What should i get? whats going to hold up good when im bashing and hitting the big jumps on my backyard homemade track? something with decent parts avalibility (im not afraid to use ebay for parts).

im used to big trucks running lipos so power is no problem. the more the better. like i said 1/8 scale nitro truggy for bashing for a newb to nitro.

tell me what you think.

new or used ...?

if ya not worried about used, i would jump on ebay or the sales part here . and buy sumones ex-race roller truggy thats been raced and looked after with all the good gear on it .. sum thing a couple of years older but still has great parts suport . like a jammin x2 or losi8t 1.0 ... iv bought 2 ex race buggy rollers in the past and there great because they have all the good race gear, but u can pick them up cheap .. then with the money saved buy a new $150to$200 engine and starter box .. done , my 2cents

Go with a Losi 8ight t, Horizon Hobbies is great at parts distribution and you always find a large listing of parts on ebay.

In my opinion the Losi 8T.2 RTR would be your best choice.
It comes with a starter box and a spektrum dx3s wich is a verry good Radio.
all you have to do is add fule and battries , break inthe engine and your set to go.
and there is endless upgrades if you want to ad bling or practicle parts they are great value and have great parts support.

Im sure evryone will have a different answer so be sure to do your home work and find the best to suit your needs...

If you do go used make sure and go through the buggy before you run it. Check your diffs, diff fluids, bearings, shocks, and shock oils.

+1 on what most of the other guys have said. If it's nitro and bashing go the Losi RTR Truggy. Looks great, comes with the .28 big block engine, decent radio gear and starter box. I'm more a racer than basher, but if I was going to go down the Truggy path it would be between the Losi and Serpent. I'd probably sway more towards Losi just because of their superior world wide parts availability and support. Also I doubt you would find more information online about set-ups and fixes than the Losi brand of vehicles.
