Here is a pic, it looks like it is just bolted on but I have been told it wasn't an easy job, loads of time went in to getting it work but his consistency and lap times have improved massively.
Overall he is extremely happy with the result and hoping when he gets his hands on the AE new buggy it will be even better than this hybrid.

Fellas quick question. For those who can remember. Can you fit a Kyosho tki body on a RC8.2? Is it almost a direct bolt on or not?

Look at Avid's website for their pills, they have a great chart for all the pills and plates, if you are using the Factory Team RC8.2 C and D plates?

The link to the Avid = http://avidrc.com/downloads/AVID_180...harts_V1.2.pdf

Any RC8.2 racers out there have a set of the Avid 1mm offset inserts they might be willing to part with? Looking for 1,2 and 3 dot. Updating my stuff after being out of R/C for a few years and would like to get a set but no one seems to have any. Not going to start over with a new B3 since I already have so many parts for the older stuff.

Sorry to hear that, I too use them on both my nitro and electric. Only thing you can do is run the GHEA (which are still available) rear blocks to achieve the same affect! The Avid inserts were a cheaper way to go to lower the roll center.

Did get a set of the GHEA plates and also found some Avid 2dot and 3dot inserts so I'm set there. Kinda cool updating stuff after being out of R/C for a few years. All I really need is a place to race. Sadly the Portland area has no 1/8 off road tracks. Bummed.

I am using the stock factory team shocks, with kyosho lt blue springs, and GHEA 1.3 pistons, plus kyosho bladders! Reason why = 1) kyosho blue springs made the car handle the best. 2) The pistons have a tighter tolerance to the shock body, less oil blow by and when you wiggle the shock shaft, less movement. 3) the stock bladder gets stiff and creates a dimple in it after prolonged use. I do not mind that the top blue plastic bushing wears out quickly, for how cheap it is, it is a quick and cheap replacement! You can find them on Ebay for a decent price! To me they work great! No complaints!

After saying that, open this thread and use the search this thread button, and type kyosho shocks, you will find a lot of people used the Kyosho shocks, after the Team drivers were using them on their cars! Are they better? do not know, never tried it. Expensive upgrade! But if you buy these and the come with the light blue springs, it might be worth it!

Good luck with your decision!

What are you guys using for fuel tanks air issues? I've been threw 3 tanks all with the same issue. Swapped a hot bodies tank and it works fine, but I don't have enough clearance between the steering linkages (fuel line oout) and the side of my novarossi pipe and the tank. Either I have the tank move enough to cut off fuel flow OR it melts its self on the pipe.

Has anyone tried the RC8B3 diffs in the RC8.2? The diff case is carry-over as well as the center spur gear. I want the 44/13 gear ratio for my Nitro car.

Tom,
I would probably ask this question in the 8.3 thread because 'Dyno Dan' the AE engineer and Cav's pitman is pretty active on that thread so you will be more likely to get a definitive answer.

I have seen a few guy use the new B3 tanks in their 8.2's with out too many issues.

I just made the swap from the D8T tank.

The B3 tank sits much better on the chassis. It also sits about 15mm more forward then the D8 tank did.
