Default Newby not running yet

New to the site.love the info, but so confused.I bought an rc8b for me and son. I wanna run it with basic everything. Can someone tell me exactly what I need to get this working. Not looking for tons of speed yet, just basics.I wanna go nitro. Gonna buy a reasonable os engine. Now besides engine, car, fuel, and radio/ transmitter/ servos. What else do I absolutely need. For instance do you need a muffler to run it ect.
Thank you very much

Yes you will need a muffler. You will need a bump box as stated above, you will also need some rx packs to run your servos...

Your also going to want some spare glow plugs.(engine break in can be hard on plugs)
A glow plug lighter.
after run oil.
a cheap hair drier to warm the engine before you start it.

Im sure somone will think of more things you need but thats all i can think of for now.

I've grown to hate bump boxes. Roto only for me. Get some rechargeable batteries too. Sucks less when somebody messes with your car and forgets to turn it off...

A cheap heat gun works better than a hairdryer.

Marvel Mystery Oil works as an after-run oil, plus it's cheaper and can be found at an auto parts house.

So far, nobody has mentioned a charger for your starter box battery and your receiver battery.

A good selection of tools hasn't been mentioned either.

Several sets of wheels/tires.

Digital Dial calipers always come in handy for measuring parts, shock length, etc.

Spare air filters.

Extra shock/diff oils.

Tire glue.

the hairdryer or heat gun sounds like a good idea!
