Sworkz BK350 Race report
Hello all,
We have been testing the new Sworkz buggy for the last 3 week and would like to give an update.
Received the kit June 28th and proceed to build it. Like Nathan stated on the main thread there was a little confusion but nothing to stop the build thats for sure.
A CD is supplied as the manual which is nice, but I would print it out for sure to reference back too.
We have built a least 12 kits and it is really easy build, everything fits well and quality is great.
Ok on to the Test, built it with the recommended settings in the manual to start.
20K / 5K / 2K in the diff
500 front 450 rears
Red springs
3 degree toe
2 degree anti squat
Silver sway bars
1st weekend OPEN BUGGY
Track Tight to Medium super cross style
Ran 4 or 5 tanks, to evaluate the stock set up.
Changed to 5-5-3 in the diff (to gain steering)
700 front 500 rear
Red front / black rear
Notice fuel lid leaking, but held tank pressure. (replaced w/ stock mugen lid )
Race to qualifiers TQed, finish 3rd do to hitting the second corner pipe and had to come from the back
Nothing broke!! Very tough buggy!
2nd Weekend
Same track tried different things
Tried some different shock bladders
Drilled some different shock pistons
Change oils and shock positions
TQed both rounds and got 1st overall
Getting more comfortable with a PBS buggy
3rd Weekend
RC Pro Texas State Race same track
Got hit hard on practice day and replaced the CVD cross pins with new ones,
2 were cracked.
7-5-3 in Diffs
60 Wt Associated front stock pistons w/ Red springs outer lower holes on bottom
50 Wt Losi with drilled 8 hole X 1.3 mm w/ med blue Kyosho springs outer lower holes on bottom
1 plus on kick up front, uppers arms all the way back (Max Caster)
1 degree anti squat
3 degree toe
Medium wheelbase
Buggy was awesome, track was super loose and blown out bad.
TQed last round and had a 2nd in round 2, so got TQ overall.
Had to wait 5 plus hours as the track got worse and even worse!!
Lead the race until about 9 minutes to go and my pit man set it down too soon and flamed out.
Down to 4th now and made up time to finish 2nd on the same lap as leader.
Overall I must say this is a top quality buggy on par with anything currently available today!!
The drive train is also very free and the stock clutch has positive feel.

Russ,
Awesome report and congrats on the awesome run. Nathan and I believe it is a winner for sure.
Also just so everyone knows the fuel lid is a known issue and the MFG is making a change and will be replacing them free for anyone who got the old kits. I do believe the new kits that are making there way to the US market as we speak are including the new tanks.

We have been running the S350 BK1 for a few weeks now in Australia and not one breakage
and the car is performing really well only thing i have changed from the stock setup is the diff and shock oils i went down to 12.5k F 3K C 2K R and 350 CPS in the shocks all round and the car was awesome!
i have also been running the S-Power S7 and all i can say is this engine is lethal so much power even before full break in we have limited the throttle 50% and it still has great speed really happy with the SWORKZ Products

Battery box is a great design all your electronics are mounted above the battery in a sealed compartement to stop water damage.

#56

Screws are mounted into the chassis to prevent the alloy chassis being damaged from the Droop screws

Thanks so much for the pics... This is for sure one of the nicest buggys on the market. I have always been impressed with Scotts work. I know him and the rest of the people involved have worked very hard to deliver a stunning product.
From A-Z this is a top quality platform and every piece of equipment from SWorkz is top notch!
