So other than some red anno, tilted in engine, dust covers for the wheels and rear kickup in the chassis, this buggy is nearly an exact replica of a Mugen (not a bad thing).

I assume it's safe to say that it handles just like one as well, correct?

Bottom line is , why would anyone purchase this buggy over a Mugen? Price point maybe? Are most of the parts interchangeable? That would be a big bonus.

I think the Sworkz is going to become real popular quick.

Like that Sworkz T. Will you be getting some of that Sworkz merchandise in?

Looks like the diffs are straight cut, not spiral cut like the Mugens. That is nice.

Hookem,

All good questions... As far as why someone would buy this... That could be diffrent for every person. I just know in two months of testing/crashing no part was broken.

There was another person testing and in 2 or three races the only thing they broke was a CVD pin. But it was from a HARD CRASH and it realy didnt break it just cracked.

Now we all know no matter what no car is bullet proof.. You jump it over a house and something is bound to break.

But what I do know besides what you mention is the chassie is diffrent, the radio box is diffrent, the geometry is diffrent, the Vertical and Horiz. COG is diffrent as well.

As for the parts I do not know. No one has ever needed to change one out because these are tough parts!

One other feature I LOVE is the captured bearings! I have seen bearings go bad and ruin a diff housing. I think this will prevent this from happening!

Very interesting -- glad I took a closer look at this one. I imagine it will have driving characteristics similar to the Mugen since it's so close -- which is what I like.

Also like the captured bearings. Failure is a 2 way street -- a failed bearing can muck up a diff housing -- but a worn/cracked/compromised diff housing can also cause a failed bearing (as well as stripped diff gear).

Is there a manual available yet? Would love to start planning bearing kits for this thing!

I have the sleeves if you want it, but why not just go with the kyosho mod?

Awesome looking buggy. Only turn off for me is the PBS, other than that, very nice.

Guys just to clear it up.. The large pinion in that pic is not in the kit. It is an option part. I believe it is the ONLY option part not included.

Janderson can you provide some feedback on what driving characteristics the rear chassis kick up and center engine tilt have on the car? Does it reward the person who drives hard like a Mugen or is it more of a finesse style chassis like the Durango? Does the change in suspension geometry make it handle different than the Mugen?

Curios minds want to know
