Default bowties - what are they good for?

I have a set of bowties I got on trade, what track surfaces are they good on?

I like them when my car is lacking forward bite.

Hey Jeremy.... Would they work at Bartow or Lake Park or are those to loose and rough?

Bow ties work well on loose, rough and slightly soft / damp surfaces. They tend to wear pretty quickly though.(compared to tighter tread patterns)

As jammin said, they give good forward bite, hence why lots of people like using them on the rear end and calibers / revolvers / crimeys up front.

The Ibeam is alot better then the bow tie on truggy. Better foams and the the tread pattern itself is better. The bowtie the lugs are very far apart and just seam to fold over. The beam lugs hold form better yielding more traction.

I agree the I beams are a superior tyre and AKA premounts come with a much better foam and I dont mean to sound like an a$$ by saying this but the OP is asking what type of track he should use Bow ties (that he already has), not for tyre suggestions.

Yeah, I have them just sitting here and I have an extra set of wheels so I was gonna glue em up. Just want to know if they will be any good on the tracks in my area, which are mostly outdoor hard packed blown out tracks

They should be fine at Bartow, That used to be my favorite tire when I ran there.

Oh no it was kinda a stab at bowties on my part. Lol so to counter that stab I would run em on a dry dusty/loamy track were forward bite is needed. Also I bet why have PL foams so they need to be balanced badly.
