Overgeared?
its funny how much I can just crank on the trigger with the fifteen...no wheel spin and plenty of contact with the kamodo dragon2's! being new to 1/8th scale gearing was one of the first things I wanted to exploit

is it a must to use the upper/lower A/B block at the same time. what happen if use A upper and B lower or B upper and A lower

the front suspension will bind if you mix the a and b blocks , each block allows the arm to be at a certain angle , if you mix them the pivot points will not be paraell causing it to bind .

A word about wheel spin
Just like in full scale racing, throttle position directly affects wheel spin. Engine power isn't the problem. Too much application of throttle is usually always the problem resulting in over driving the car. If one can learn to use the throttle appropriately and keep the car on all fours, then you have a better chance of winning. Slower is faster. The more you can keep your car out of the hands of the turn marshals, the faster you'll be after 5 minutes. Translation: keep it on all fours for then entire 5 minutes!

slrguy, exactly, for the few professional drivers who never get emotional or lose concentration during thier races, too much power can be controlled. But, for most racers, too much power is just that...Too much.
I've won my share of 1/8th scale races, club, regional and RC Pro, but I still want to squeeze the trigger when another car is getting too close to me, or after being pounded a few times, which results in excessive wheel spin and that same car getting even closer. When I used a WS7II, it wasn't much of an issue, since the motor was fast, but not insane, on the bottom end. My Maxy Modded Mega engine is an entirely different animal. The only way I can keep it from blazing the tires(even on blue groove) is to have it blubbering rich on the bottom and 170 degrees, running about 5 minutes on a tank. Adjusted correctly, over 7.5 minutes on a tank and hairy bottom end. .
I'll work on the clutch and gearing, maybe even the pipe, to mellow it, just a little.........., Jim

Speedy2, I can say that the Jammin X1 is a competitive car. It may not make a world champion out of a club racer, but it will allow you to beat Jared Tebo.....LOL, Ok, maybe not, but it is a good car and seems to steer better and may even out handle other cars i've owned(which is alot) on some tracks.
I'll list the cars i've run over the years, so you can gauge how I feel about the X1......MBX4, RS01, 7.5, Kanai 2, MBX5, MBX5 Prospec.
I'd still give an edge to the MBX5 Prospec, but for almost $300 more, it should get "an edge".....................Jim
