Keep in mind I am running a Hyper8.5

The LX2 body fits, with some cutting. The nose is too long and a bit high (could catch dirt in some situations) and doesn't go over the shock tower well. The precut front body hole mount is way off, so I just chopped the front off. So my body doesn't go past the shock tower. The rear quarter panel comes close to the rear wheels, trimming needed. Width is decently close. Body thickness is somewhat thin.

Since I didn't know if the LX2 body would work, I wanted to go cheap. A painted body was $49 and a clear was $30 at Nitrohouse. I bought a painted body off EBAy for $20 I'm disappointed that the windows are not clear. The black window decals really say RTR to me. I think it even has a cutout for a pull start.

I would really rather have a Proline body if I could be sure of the width.

Just got a Hyper 8 from Jconcepts for my 7. Fits perfect. My 7 is converted to electric, so I didn't need to cut the cooling head fin. Not much trimming required.
