Default Cheap Buggy tires Dynamite vs Duratrax vs HSP

I have started running my RC8b at the local track, they class is iffy some nights has less than 3 buggies. The track is outdoors and really eats up tires, my new M2 Bowties lasted 2 race nights....I had some Panthers in med and after one night they are at 70% or less....I just cant afford to run name brand tires...I am just running for fun, not in it to win at all.

I see some generic HSP tires for $12 a pair

Dynamite Hot laps for $15-$20 a pair

and Duratrax for $25 a pair

I heard a few guys at the track say the Duratrax are pretty good for the money...any one tried the othweer 2 listed?

I tried a search here and didnt find anything about the Dynamite tires

Thanks

If the track surface is a real tire eater. Give some proline knuckles a try, they don't like the loose but LOVE an abrasive surface. And wear forever.

Aka I beams in a medium will wear much better than bowties.

+1 on AKA anything! Dont be afraid to get hard compound either. If your just looking to have fun and dont really care about lap times or winning then AKA hard compound is the way to go. They may be $10 more for 4 tires but in the long run you will save money.

Sweep tires hold up great on very abasive surfaces and can be had at around $45 a set. Traction you get is also top notch. If it is hard packed give the record breaks a shot they are awesome and last a long time.

ive been running the duratrax tires lately and they are some great tires. they work very well, especially their shotguns.

but if you want some tires that last, i would look into some hotbodies megabites and khaos in pink or red compound. i ran pink (super soft) alot and they lasted many many races on some abrasive tracks, they work enough to get the job done. however, their foams suck (make the tires rip) so i ran AKA grooved foams

Smooth out that throttle finger. Any time you spin the tires it eats em
up. The worst thing for tires is when you see the front wheels diff out.

Practice being smooth and your tires will last alot longer.

The Duratrax are proven race tires and are quickly turning heads at the track.
The Posse are my favorite Duratrax tire.
