Proline Closed Cell vs Red AKA Closed Cell inserts

Has anyone done any side by side testing with blue Proline Closed Cell insets compared to the red AKA Closed Cells?

Have guys that run proline tires been using the new included pl closed cell inserts or swapping them out for something else?

I have some sets of the PL CC and some are inconsistent. some longer/bigger than others and some fluffy and others feel flat. have others noticed this too?

Proline makes 2 kinds of closed cell inserts. The black ones will make your tire shape more rounded with the hump in the middle like the Aka's. The blue ones are more squared to give your tire a more even contact patch. Both PL black and blue are stiffer than the new Red AKA's but softer than the original Black AKA inserts. That's the extent of my findings. I have not noticed softer or different shaped proline inserts in the same colors.

has anyone experienced handling differences between the blue proline and the red aka's?

I have a set of 4 blue proline closed cell inserts, and one of them is clearly stiffer or thicker or both, compared to the other 3, im not sure yet as i have not cut the tyre off to see why.

I will not buy them again for this reason & they are also to stiff in my opinion.

The PL blue closed cell foams i bought are smaller than the stock blue foams that come with PL pre-glued tires and rims. When using the Pl blue closed cell foams on let's say a Caliber tire, the tire is very loose on the foam once mounted up.

Not quite what the Op was asking about but my .02 anyway.
