New to 1/8 buggy, have questions
 
I bought an RC8B from a member here, should be arriving monday. I've never driven nitro buggy before so Im excited.

1. whats a good place to start as far as shock oil?

a. outdoor, loose, bumpy, rutted, dusty

b. outdoor, high bite glued track, bumpy


2. good place to start for diff. oil? never had a gear diff before

same conditions as above.

do you guys normally use sway bars?


im gonna look at the AE setup sheets on their site too. thanks for nay help

Yes.

For the other questions start with the stock setup for the RC8B, then look at the set-up sheets and http://www.myrcbox.com/?p=955 for suspension and http://www.myrcbox.com/?p=986 for diffs.

Really best to just drive on the stock setup until you get used to the car enough to really know what changes to make to compliment your driving style. You should be able to find a stock setup sheet somewhere for that car. If it is your first nitro (not sure if you meant first nitro or only first nitro buggy) you will probably have your hands full learning to tune your engine for a while.

1st nitro buggy. Had many nitro stadium trucks, but I am a bit rusty.
