Default RC8B braces a bit too long

Hi everyone, I'm building a RC8B kit and I notice that the front n rear plastic braces are about 1mm too long. I could kinda force them in and they will fit but they really push the shock tower assy out that the factory pre-cut holes on the body would not line up any more so that kinda tells me there might be something wrong here.

Any similar issues for those that had a chance to build one of these things?

thanks

No I also had to bend the cassis just alittle to get them in so its not a perfect fit.
About the body you should make the back hole a bit wider to front and back to allow the chassis to flex, otherwise it will crack the body around the hole.

Mine were definatly a tight fit but nothi ng to worry about, kinda like preloading the chassis a bit.

I haven't used those much but from what I have seen those flex quite a bit and have a tendency to pop off the balls, at least on the truggy.

well the rear plastic brace didn't last more than several runs. it snapped at the bottom mounting hole and the body got all messed up from excessive chassis flexing.

So I got the FT alu and that one fit much better. I just had to bend the chassis back to straight to make it fit.

Yes the braces on the AE cars arent exactly the best. Ive cracked several both front and rear braces on both my cars. Moved to aluminium and then the screws cracked instead.

Driving it
You cant really do more than just put them on and drive. Thing is, the way theyre mounted, the M3 screw takes all the force of the chassiflex when you land after a jump or you crash into something.
Youre lucky if you havent broken any, I know alot of people that havent, but it doesnt make it a good design.
