Default First upgrade for 8ight 2.0 rtr except servos

I'm getting ready for the outdoor season here in PA. and want to get some good experience in this summer before Motorama in Harrisburg next february. I've upgraded my servos. What i'm really trying to do is get as close as i can to the race roller by mid summer. I was thinking the next best upgrade might be the Flex chassis or a new motor, though the stock motor seems sufficient enough for now...waiting for the Nvision race motor in june. I know driving skill is what's most important. Any ideas??

i'd start with the shocks and chassis, then engine and pipe, then shock towers

DE racing makes some nice skid plates, bumpers, and guards for pretty cheap.

LOL just race it. Work on your driving, and up-keep of the car. get the aluminum caps, add two shoes to the clutch, and an aluminum servo saver top arm. Look at the drake standard setup and try it also. My brother shows up with his to the races and does great with his rtr, usually top 3. The rtr car is great, and its fun beating guys with an RTR. Even the losi 350 is a competitive motor, just change out the rtr pipe for an 053 or the losi RE. Good luck, some guys just like upgrading for the bling, but for the most part the 2.0 is great out of the box and you dont need most of that stuff

Thanx to all of you for your input. It helps alot. Especially yours Show. great advice. Inferno, what do you mean by too twitchy? Do you mean its over responsive? And have you experienced this on your own buggy with the flex? just curious. I'll be ordering the shock caps and a tuned pipe. Thanx again.
