Default When to rebuild / re-oil shocks?

-I originally posted this in the rookie section, but thought it might be more appropriate here. Sorry about the double-post.

Hey guys - I just picked up a used Associated RC10GT2 and was thinking the shocks feel a little weak. Admittedly, I'm new to the hobby and only have the showroom models to use as comparison, but I'm wondering if it's just a good idea to re-oil them (if not rebuild them) since I have no idea how long it's been since they've been maintained.

Thanks -Brian

If it is not leaking oil, I would just refill it with the recommended weight. Then you will have a base on how the shocks should feel.
