can any one recommend a generator , im not sure how much power is enough , just need to power a pit light and charge batts for starter box and trcuk, maybe run a dremel some times and an air compressor . Something that will fit in a honda accord .

Nothing beats the Honda EU1000i or Yamaha EF1000is. Expensive but worth it in my opinion. Super quiet and efficient and delivers rated power with ease. Amazing re-sale value too.

Honda EU2000 or Yamaha EF2000is. Quiet(don't be the guy with the loud generator or compressor) reliable.... The only down fall is the price they are expensive.... But worth every penny!

I just bought one for rc use about a month ago. It was the Generac ix2000. Generac makes large commercial generators, but they also make the newer more quiter portable inverter generators. It is slightly louder than the Honda, but half the price. Also, has a great warranty. I ordered from this place. It was on sale for $494 free shipping a month ago. The price has gone up, but it is still affordable and they eat the shipping. Good reviews as well.

Harbor freight sells a 800 watt generator that can be bought for around $100.It will be more than enough to run chargers and other rc related stuff. We have ran one for the last 2 years and they run good and will run for 6-8hrs on a gallon of fuel.

I run a Flowmaster on my generator. Not only does she sound good but she has more power, I can blow every light bulb at the track.

I know a guy who runs that generator at the on-road track. He has used it for almost two years I think. It works fine. Two people can charge off of it.

***Buy the best generator that you can afford. Do not go into debt over it***
