like the title says, anybody know? my buddy has a brand new 5.9 motor that i can get for a killer price for my SC8, but im not sure if it'll work or not..

Should bolt in. You may run into clearance problems with whatever
starter system is on the 5.9. The carb will need to be rotated as the RC8
platform works best with the carb rotated slightly. And there may be some
shimming to get the flywheel, clutch and bell all setup on the new motor.

I would think it would fit.. BUT, I would also think it's a terrible choice.. All torque and no RPM.. And the latter is what you need... For a budget engine I would much prefer a Mach 427 or the new Mach 2 26 "Truggy", or a cheaper 21 like a Werks B5.... Your SC8 would be FAR faster with those IMO..

The 5.9 SUUUUUUCks don't get it, save your money or use it to invest in another motor that will be worth your time.
