Tire Question
 

I just bought my first set of AKA City Block (soft)tires, far better than the stock tires that came with my Losi Eight-T 2.0. My questions are these...

1)How long do tires like these usually last? What's the wear on them if I actually only used them on the track?

2)Also why do all the guys at the track have so many tires on hand of the same compound? Is cleaning them in between runs that hard?

3)Also whats the best way to clean tires after a days run?

Tire wear is gonna depend alot on the surface you are running on. If the track is loose, or loamy, you might get alot of run time on the tires. If it is higher bite it will wear them out faster in most cases. You should probably get at least a couple of weekends on your city blocks at the club level. You are seeing people with different tires at the track because different tread gives different handling traits, and at a higher level guys run new tires every run or at least put on a new set for the main. Best way to wash them is just run a little water over them and brush them off.

What he said.... but they will usually last a long time. More than a few races for sure...I'd say 8 race days..I do use dishsoap and hot water with a toothbrush, it brings back the sticky rubber like those wacky wall walkers.....
