Nitro Short Course SC10GT GT2 Conversion

1 Attachment(s)
I have been talking to some people for a while about building a stretched GT2 platform for a Short Course truck. I then read the article in RC Car action, and now my prototype is done. I have read that a few guys in California are converting cars and have seen one video on youtube. Well here is mine!

Check out the video of the first test!

And the Maiden track day:

I am going to get some more chassis machined, and then offer a full build guide as well as offer the required custom parts if any one is interested.

Stoked!

nice, i still have my gt2 sitting around i might do the conversion im just curious if they whould handle a rough 1/8 offroad track and have a turnouts for them at tracks and my also.

thing, thing i like about the conversion is you have more holes in the body so you dont get that annoying wind that comes up though the body and causes flips lol.

have you tried it on dirt yet im wondering how it handles ?

Good news! I have tried it on the track and handled well for a first outing.

Our track is not washed out, but lots of 1/8 scales race on it. I have not cut out the body, and so If it gets a little nose high, it packs air and does the parachute thing, but I think cutting the windows out will help that. Once the track got watered, we were pulling wheelies down the front stretch for fun.

I added a pic to the first post, and will take some more after I blow it off (with an air compressor). This reminds me that I almost blew it off (flipped it)hitting a small bump in the street and caught some air under the nose at full speed!
