How old is the Losi 8ight T 1.0
 

I was thinking about getting one, but how old are they and can you use the 2.0 parts on them. Still new to the hobby so not ready to drop $800 on a RTR kit.

Really the losi is pretty old, but most parts are swapable. The 2.0 is just way better and is newer. I dont think any rtr car is that good, so i would rather buy kit and choice of all stuff.

i, have a "eight-t 1.0" i think its 4 years old now and yes you can use some "2.0 t parts like the "2.0 steering rack" and the 2.0 t rear hubs you have to drill the holes bigger so the 2.0 outer pins fit.


and you could convert it to a 2.0 t little by little also.

if i like the rc8t ce more than il probetly sell my 1.0 t if i cant il keep it its a good club racer i can tell you that !

one, thing that really helps the "1.0 t" really if you race on a rough track is a "tft 1.0 t flex chassis" makes a big diffrence makes the handling a lot better than the roller stock chassis.

For some reason I want to say that the 1.0 came out in 2006.

they are pretty old..at least 4-5 years old..reguardless of what people say...adam drake could still go out and win with a 1.0...Yes the newer trucks are more stable and most turn better but that doesnt make an old truck bad!..If your looking only for losi then its still a solid truck that can win races! If your just looking to get into the scene, id check out hotbodies d8t if your wanting to buy new as i beleive they are the cheapest kit on the market right now. If you dont mind buying used there are a TON!! of deals out there right now for just about whatever you want, with the economy being as it is and seasons ending and starting many buy new kits and sell their old so the deals are out there for GOOD, CHEAP trucks with alot of life left in them!!

The parts list to convert a 1.0 to 2.0 truggy is very extensive. Diff housings+diffs and steering parts are about the only parts that are interchangeable.

The thread count is at 8 now. WE GET IT. your getting the CE. Nuff said.
