Hot Bodies truggy questions

My wife asked me why dont i stay with hpi since i have owned a few of their trucks, I see their sister company Hot Bodies make a truggy was i'd like to hear how their truggy is and what needs improved on it by way of hop ups and set-up. I will mainly be club racing with it. I see they have 3 editons of the d8 truggy.

Thanks
Byron

So the hara editon is the newest one? What motor did you go with? Any issues you had to fix or tweak?

D8 and D8 hara edition are buggies, there is only one truggy which is D8T ... except the lightning series but its really old so those arent even really considered anymore. and im not sure if you can even buy them new anymore...

There are 339 pages dealing with the D8T. Do you want the Readers Digest version?

Also, only one version of Truggy. Hara is the latest buggy edition. I don't believe HB is producing any standard D8 buggys. Any that are available are just leftovers.

sorry i should of made it a bit more clear that the d8 and d8 hara are buggies. only thing that i changed was the front inner hinge pins. i used the m2c captured hinge pins only b/c i have heard that some people had problems with front diff case with the stock pins. a lot of people drive it bone stock with zero problems. as others said you will learn a lot if you check out the hot bodies truggy thread

d8t is very good right out of box. only thing i run is differnt springs and swaybars. i do have some lightweight diff parts but there not really needed. otherwise my truggy is stock.

hot bodies d8t truggy

ran my d8t all last season and the only thing i had break on me was a front cvd pin and that was at the last race of the season.

very durable truggy and i love the way it handles on the track.

the only things i changed on mine from stock was the addition of a king headz steering rack top plate, hot bodies aluminum rear hubs and tekno front and rear shock towers.

ill be going to crcrc to race this coming weekend with it.

im running a werks b7 pro with a werks 2013 pipe and hi tec hi voltage servos.

for tires im using the hot bodies megabites pink with aka rims and hb inserts

ive had good sucess using the jesse robbers setup.
