Dont drive RC in the COLD!
I dont know about you all but i have the worst of the worst luck when driving rc in the cold (below freezing). Parts break way easier, getting a tune is a pain, and freezing cement on tires is like ice. i broke my first mugen part in the cold, broke several rpm parts in the cold, and i recently broke my new jato in half after hitting a car due to lack of traction when trying to stop. 
Maybe this post will save someone time and money before they decide to play in the cold.

Indoor electric in the winter. Cold ruins your engines.

Don't crash and you won't break any parts 
And you need to use a heat gun when you want to run your nitro engine.

i always heat my engine up before i start it in the cold... we have indoor tracks too and i race electric 10th scale also. But i enjoy bashing at the park and high speed runs also. Thats where most of the crap happens.

boil your arms, preheat your engines. we race with track surface temps of 30-40 deg F routinely. the real hilarity starts when things get in the 20's and the dirt starts freezing
. most engines don't know differently if anything run like raped apes from the dense air mixtures. although some long stroke RB's I had did not tune well in the cold.

Yeah i recently raced indoor nitro in mid 30 to mid 40's and noticed way more carnage than normal LOL. Gotta preheat those motors in the cold. Helps ALOT.

Put a sock around the head and adjust it, so the engine runs a little hotter than in normal outdoor temperature. Otherwise the engine has a rotten idle (drops in RPM after approx. 10 sec. no matter how lean you set the LSN).

U southern guys are just spoiled! I haven't havent raced in 30-40 temps since like Halloween! Last weekend when we were leaving the track it was 7*
