Nice work! I wonder if it would be viable to add an aluminum plate to cover the open end of the box at the fuel bottle side but leave a slight enough gap to "clip" things to like a pocket knive clip. That way those of us who use temp sensors from companies like Duratrax that have that clip on the back of it. Just a random thought. If I were to get one, I would probably do that myself and also add a magnet in some strategic places underneath the aluminum so that I could place body clips down on it without worry of losing them.

But this thing looks sweet! If I raced 1/8 nitro, I would be all over this thing! But unfortunately the only nitro I have is my Savage, which wouldn't benefit much at all from this except to keep the wheels off the ground during warm up or break in.

Default PIT PAL

I LIKE THE STYLE OF IT,

ITS LIKE "INDUSTRIAL ART". I TOO WOULD LIKE THE BOTTLE END TO BE CAPPED OFF/ CLOSED. PM ME WHEN YOU'VE GOT A FINNISHED PRODUCT. .....................

Again, I would like to thank everyone for their comments/suggestions, I am listening to them all.

At the moment, I don't plan on making the Pit Pal with the end closed off as a standard product. What I can do is offer it as an option for a little bit more money. It will take a little bit more aluminum and time to weld that piece on. So, if it's something that you want, I will gladly add it to yours, just pm me.

Thanks
jonski

Also keep in Mind that some people use Fuel guns, not fuel bottles..Very difficult to find fuel gun holders. Just a thought

I seen him making handles maybe get some fabrick and put it on the side to it will hold a fuel gun , but if you dont have one you wont have a hole in ur pit pal. Im sure it might take time to cut slots for it to mount but if its wanted charge more.

I think it’s a cool idea and might get some. But what I see might happen is the strap might get tangled up in the tire and flip the car off the stand after a start or high rev to clear out a carb. Here is my idea mount a strap on the bottom with half of a buckle on it so it barely comes around the bottom so the strap can be removed and put in your back pocket.

Thanks for the information and I will look into those clips to make the straps removeable.

Definately cant put a holster on the carry strapps,

the fuel gun will leak through the vent tubes when you lay the strapps down , has to be a solid/vertical type of mount. it can be welded on the side also, i pay a few bucks more for an extra option , on top of the base price.

The problem with the fuel gun is....I don't have one. I can make something to hold one for sure, I just need to get one in my hands to take measurements of.

no problem,

it will be like a coffee cup holder, with a diameter of about 2 1/2 inches, about 5 or 6 inches deep . that should cover all the ones currently sold on the market
