I would imagine any box running 4s or two 2s LiPo will be as light as you're gonna get. Now, durability wise, Ofna Blue Truggy box FTW!

Ofna compact box with 4s lipo.... The box is plastic, small and has an open bottom. Weighs next to nothing and works pretty good too but it's a little small for use on a truggy.

OFNA Blue truggy box, twin 775 monster motors, coupled to a 14.8v lipo and you'll never even know it's in your bag. By far the best/lightest box on the market and for the money.

Yeah...another vote for the OFNA Truggy Box on a 4s LIPO. It's weighs like 1/3rd the weight of the Gel Cell you can remove ;-) It's very very light and will start damn near anything...including your 1:1 car if you can align it properly

ofna truggy box is best compromise b/t weight and performance. AE box is very light and works pretty good too.

The Mugen starterbox with lipo battery is very light.
The Ofna Truggy starterbox, with a dual brushless
motors, lipo battery combo has enough power to crank
a small-block chebbee engine. The only drawback is
that it costs as much to build as alot of truggy kits cost.

If only OFNA could make a buggy/truggy as light and awesome performing
as the blue box, then they would be on to something!lol The ofna starter boxes are hard to beat in terms of durability and lightness.
